Yesterday while at the market I decided to pick up one of those new Nasoya Silken Creations in vanilla. Be careful clicking the link. It’s a PDF. Not sure why the website links to a PDF file. It took a year to load on my crappy laptop. Anyway, I got it with the intentions on making a delicious breakfast smoothie. Although the smoothie I made was delicious, it was a little too rich to be considered breakfast. It was more of a treat than anything. But a very yummy treat. I was expecting it to be more like silken tofu, but it was more like custard. It even tasted a little like custard. I was holding it over the sink ready to drain it, but that wasn’t necessary.

For the smoothie I used 1 cup of the Silken Creations in vanilla, 1/2 cup of soy milk, 1 small banana and a dash of nutmeg. Yummy! I just wish they made a lite version as there are 120 calories for just a half of a cup! But there is only 1 gram of fat so that’s not so bad. I’d totally buy it again. The chocolate looks good. I might try that next.
