My birthday was pretty cool. My Mom sent me something from Edible Arrangements. I loved it. I have always wanted to order something from them because their displays are so pretty, but felt weird sending myself ‘flowers’. I’m so happy that I finally got one. I’m even happier that I didn’t have to send one to myself. My Mom even remembered not to get the chocolate dipped ones since it may contain dairy. And she even got me daisies! She loves me!
Juan and Bil got me a stand mixer, the book; New Moon and some cupcakes from Sweet Avenue. We ended up ordering some food, made margaritas and rocked out all night. Rock Band 2 is awesome! I can’t wait to get the AC/DC album. The only downside is that it’s only available at Walmart and I hate Walmart. My love for music comes before my hate for Walmart. So it looks like Walmart wins this battle.
Yesterday I made the Jelly Donut Cupcakes from Veganomicon. I’m not too happy with how they look, but they tasted great. After seeing some other peoples results and then looking at mine… I’m a little disappointed. I’m going to practice making these things until they come out just right. The only thing I did different was add less powdered sugar. Next time around I’m going to add more because I think that’s what makes it so pretty.
