I know I promised to post photos, but I’ve been too busy trying not to die. Lucky me I ended up getting a severe sinus infection which refused to clear up using natural methods. After using a neti pot I was reduced to tears and then told Juan he could bring me to the ER. The wonderful doctor took such good care of me. I was finally able to sleep without feeling like my face was going to explode. Seriously, my face hurt so bad that my teeth were hurting. And my left eyeball felt like it was going to just pop right out. Even my cheekbone hurt. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Not fun.
I’m feeling somewhat better now. I’m definitely not feeling 100% better, but a little more than halfway. My cheekbone, teeth, eye and ear still hurt on and off. It’s rather annoying. But that’s only because I’m not taking the pain meds every 3 hours like I’m supposed to. I try to take just one pill a day. The first few days I actually had to take all 3. The pain was far too severe. Thank, God this is almost done and over with. I’ve been sick before, but this… this is just wrong.
I couldn’t really sleep last night. Not just because I went to sleep without a pain pill, but because I was excited. We’re going to St. Louis today. This is going to be a first for all of us. Neither of us has ever been. We’re really looking forward to it. It’ll be a bit of a drive, but it’ll be nice to get away for a while. Change up the scenery a bit. Of course I’ll have Jack with me. I’m hoping to take lots of photos. I haven’t used Jack nearly as much as I’d like these past few weeks. That’s going to change very soon though.
Anyway, I’m going to get ready. We’re leaving bright and early this morning.
